A review may not appear immediately when automated checks or a manual assessment are required to protect users, businesses and the integrity of the platform.

Before you start: A delay does not automatically mean the review has been rejected or that the business requested its removal.

Step 1: Check whether submission completed

Return to your account and confirm that the review appears in your activity or submitted-review area. Avoid submitting the same review several times.

Step 2: Allow time for checks

New accounts, unusual activity, uploaded images or content containing certain terms may require additional assessment.

Step 3: Review the content

Check whether the review includes information that could trigger moderation.

  • Personal or confidential information
  • Threats or abusive language
  • Links or promotional content
  • Claims unrelated to the customer experience
  • Copied or duplicate text
  • Information that may require clarification

Step 4: Check your account messages

ClearSay may send an email or account notification requesting verification, evidence or an edit. Check spam and junk folders.

Step 5: Respond clearly if contacted

Provide only relevant information through the official ClearSay process. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or unrelated personal documents.

Step 6: Wait for the assessment

Do not ask several people to submit the same content or publish replacement reviews while the original review is being considered.

Possible outcomes

  • The review is published without changes.
  • The reviewer is asked to edit or clarify part of the content.
  • Supporting information is requested.
  • The review is not published because it breaches the guidelines.
  • The review is restored after a successful assessment or appeal.

Businesses and reviewers are treated separately

A business may flag content, but flagging does not automatically determine the outcome. ClearSay may consider the review, the report and any relevant information from both sides.
