Update a review when you need to correct an error, add relevant information or reflect how the business handled the issue after the original experience.
Step 1: Open your ClearSay account
Visit ClearSay.co.uk and sign in.
Step 2: Find your submitted reviews
Open your profile, account activity or My Reviews section and locate the correct review.
Step 3: Select Edit or Update
Choose the available edit option. If editing is not available, use the contact page rather than posting a duplicate review.
Step 4: Correct the rating and text
Update only what is necessary. Keep the review connected to the original customer experience and explain any later resolution clearly.
Step 5: Review private information
Remove order numbers, phone numbers, addresses, email details or other information that should not be public.
Step 6: Save the updated review
Select Save, Update or Submit. Edited content may be checked again before it is republished.
Step 7: Confirm the result
Refresh the business profile and check that the review appears correctly. Allow additional time if the review returns to moderation.
How to describe a resolved issue
Do not erase the original experience in a misleading way. You can explain that the business contacted you, provided a refund, completed the work or otherwise resolved the concern.
Do not use edits as leverage
A customer should not threaten to change a rating in exchange for money, free services or another benefit. A business should not pressure a reviewer to remove genuine criticism.
