Closing a ClearSay account may affect submitted reviews, business-profile access, subscriptions and information that must be retained for legal or moderation purposes.

Before you start: Review the consequences before requesting closure. Business owners should transfer authorised access where necessary.

Step 1: Sign in and review the account

Open ClearSay.co.uk and confirm that you are signed in to the correct account.

Step 2: Check connected activity

Review any submitted reviews, claimed businesses, active subscriptions, pending disputes or review invitations connected to the account.

Step 3: Handle business ownership first

If the account manages a business listing, arrange an authorised transfer or contact ClearSay before closure. Do not leave the business without an approved manager.

Step 4: Cancel an active subscription where required

Open billing or plan settings and review the cancellation terms. Account closure may not automatically replace the normal subscription-cancellation process.

Step 5: Look for the closure option

Open account or privacy settings and select Delete Account, Close Account or the equivalent option where available.

Step 6: Submit a support request if needed

When no closure option appears, use the ClearSay contact page. State the account email and whether the request concerns a user account, business account or both.

Step 7: Complete identity verification

ClearSay may verify the request to prevent another person from deleting the account. Follow the official instructions and do not send passwords.
