How to Add a Business to ClearSay

You can add a UK business to ClearSay when no accurate listing already exists on the platform.

Step 1: Search for the business

Go to ClearSay.co.uk and search using the business name customers recognise.

Step 2: Confirm that no correct listing exists

Compare the search results with the company’s public information.

• Trading name
• Registered company name
• Address or service area
• Website
• Telephone number
• Business category

Step 3: Select Add a Business

Open the Add a Business option. You may need to sign in or create a ClearSay account before continuing.

Step 4: Enter the business name

Use the company’s correct public trading name. Do not add advertising claims, locations or service keywords that are not part of the real business name.

Step 5: Add the contact information

Enter accurate public business details, including the telephone number, email address, website, address, town and postcode where applicable.

Step 6: Choose the correct category

Select the category that best represents the company’s main activity. Do not choose unrelated categories simply to increase visibility.

Step 7: Write a factual description

Explain the main products or services, normal service area and type of customers supported.

• Use plain and accurate wording.
• Do not claim the business is the best or number one without reliable evidence.
• Do not promise guaranteed five-star service.
• Do not copy text from another company.
• Do not add private personal information.

Step 8: Check and submit the listing

Confirm that the business is not already listed and that the name, contact details, category and website are correct before submitting.

What happens next?

The listing may be reviewed before it appears publicly. An owner or authorised representative can then claim it and complete any required verification.
